It's personal, its complex, it\s what's left when the memory fades.

Whilst your time is taken up planning details, I insist you to choose a photographer who loves the art of the process, capturing everything from passion to humour, from romance to outrageous behaviour.

Your photographer is personal, and the quality of your wedding album really does matter.
Given the years that fly by so fast, coupled with that unavoidable memory loss, with time, its all we really have left.
I believe it's important to capture more than the expected, but also the smells, sounds, and beautiful chaos of the entire day.

I'm not just a wedding photographer, and you're not just another job.
I didn't pick up a camera a few years ago to make money shooting weddings. I'm a lifelong photographer, portrait artist, and lens fanatic who happens to love shooting weddings (who wouldn't?!)
I've been shooting since the dark room days, specialised in fine art portraits, and consider your day just as important as the day I took home a 1st class Photography degree, and I haven't stopped shooting since!
I'm not alone! I have a small army
I have a support network of 2 other highly experienced photographers who co-founded our photography studio in North Yorkshire
(both available as 2nd and 3rd photographers who are available on request)
I listen to couples as individuals, I don't dictate.
You may prefer 100% reportage style, you might prefer a mix of light direction, using creative trends to capture that awesome image!
I have experience in both worlds and plenty of tricks and ideas to offer you whether your wedding style is classic and timeless, or breaking down traditions with a vibrant and free-spirit.
For your security
In the unlikely event that something happens to me before the day (hasn't yet), I have two experienced photographers who will step in, in an emergency.
So potential last minute panic to find a high quality experienced photographer when all the best are booked up, isn't going to be your problem.

I'm not afraid to climb on the van for group shots or interact with your guests on the dance floor.
I also have a few tricks up my sleeve to create the extra magic for those intimate portraits.
But for the majority of your time, I tell the story as it it were an unseen act of nature.
In other words, I don't me interfere with perfection .
Choosing your photographer is personal, you are sharing one of the most intimate occasions with a complete stranger after all.
You have the opportunity to meet me and get comfortable in front of the lens.
Around 80% of people are camera shy, so its important to get to know a little about you, and where possible, get talking to the lens with confidence.

My approach is unobtrusive, & unscripted, shooting real weddings as they naturally unfold.
On occasion I may direct subjects towards the light when its too spectacular to turn down.
it's also an opportunity to be playful & interactive with guests so I'm no longer such a stranger with a camera, and almost one of the guests.
However, I don't believe in constantly directing subjects out of respect for the day, & what makes it unique, and raw.
I genuinely believe the magic happens when truth and honesty are allowed to shine through.
For me, thats true beauty that it can't be replicated.
The best of us feel camera shy to a degree, honestly, so do I.
To some the lens is a total invasion , which is not entirely untrue.
My unscripted style means you will barely notice me as I leap-frog from scene to scene.
I am there purely to observe, document, and freeze a raw, untouchable moment in time to be adored for generations to come.
Every single wedding I've shot has this in abundance, and I don't take this responsibility lightly.
I enjoy every moment with you as if it were my own.

Ironically, I'm very approachable, relaxed in manner, and a highly sociable character smiling wildly from ear to ear whilst shooting non-stop.
I also come with an unfathomable amount of energy that's riding on the excitement of being fully immersed in a series of incredibly beautiful and irresistible moments.

I'm a real portrait artist and storyteller, who enjoys making the unconventional, beautiful!
Honestly, my style is often unconventional, almost always energetic, whilst I lean more towards capturing the rawness, humour, and compassion that oozes out, with a little less cliché.
Think big expressions, unscripted moments with abstract composition, creatively intimate, timeless and bold.
I began inspired by early 20th century street photography during the dark room days, and haven't stopped shooting ever since!
I approached Natasha to photograph my wedding day, having seen some of her work and she had been recommended as a local photographer.
I was unsure what I actually wanted other than I wanted as many natural shots as possible and plenty of pictures capturing the magic of the day. Natasha certainly delivered. Her unique eye and attention to detail meant that every important part has been retained in phographic history and allowed me to look back and remember it all like it was yesterday.
Natasha blended in, she mixed in to the wedding party and it was difficult to remember she was there. She managed to capture moments that otherwise I'd have missed during the busy day.
